Bradley made a fair number of errors with ball in hand - losing
it in contact, throwing mistimed or very slow loopy passes - but
was decently physical. I think we can't ignore just how abject
Newcastle were, though. They simply weren't interesting in
tackling and pretty much everyone was running through them at
will. Sean Kerr looked like the reincarnation of Jonah Lomu at
one point.
Things that were good: he kept carrying, he made metres, he made
a lot of tackles even though we had most of the ball, and he ran
good support lines.
Would want more quality from him given the number of touches he
had, though, and beating one defender / breaking one tackle in
13 carries is a poor return given the circumstances, especially
as he doesn't offload out of contact either. Sounds harsh but
this was essentially a barely opposed training run.
Cam Anderson is probably another player who had a "good" game,
in that he largely made good decisions, proved to be evasive,
and defended very well... but my overriding takeaway from that
match is that he is far, far too slow to be a Premiership
winger. He'd probably make a good 13 and I can totally see how
he's a quality 15 at Championship level. Again, sounds harsh,
but when a bad team has a win like this against an even worse
team I think it pays to be realistic.
The aim should be to perform well enough to try and win any /
all of the remaining matches, which should all be genuine
challenges unlike yesterday. I don't expect them to do so -
largely because I think the defensive organisation is
non-existent even on the days when the desire is there - and for
me these sorts of blowouts tend to highlight the problems more
than the solutions. I'm reminded of when England put 60 on Wales
before the 2007 world cup and my main memory is of how rubbish
Shaun Perry was and how annoyed I was he got MOTM! (he was awful
at the world cup and that was the end of it)

Hobson and Baxter make for a great pair of looseheads. Baxter is
all ice in the veins, train crash tackling, and superb
scrummaging. Hobson is a superb carrier and no slouch in defence
either.
