The point us that we're not playing a better team. We're playing
the team that we're scheduled to play.

I was very nervous before today but needn’t have been. Can never
complain when we’ve scored 76 points against anyone.
Hobson’s sprint in was something of beauty.

It's a shame, then, that we've had the same poor defense all
season.

Given no Champ side meets the MOS, Newcastle are as good as they
need to be.
In fact, if Red Bull are paying the bill, do they even need to
be that good.
I think that the playoff should be played, so we see how close
the winners of the Champ playoffs - which should be Ealing as
they are undefeated, but might not be - is to the bottom Prem
side, now almost certain to be Newcastle.

Several problems with that, this year there was no relegation,
only promotion if you won the playoffs and met the MOS, only
Doncaster and Ealing applied, Ealing did not meet the standard,
Doncaster did, but have withdrawn as they can't afford to be
promoted, and they wont be in the top 6 anyway.
So your playoff was never going to happen, if teams want to play
in prem find the funding and meet the MOS , five champ teams are
in talks with investors at present.
Newcastle got the RB funding too late to sign top quality
players, have had their academy players stripped out by other
clubs, by the way Ealing did not only fail on their ground but
for other reasons as well.

I thought we would lose.
Newcastle have had their struggles over the years but they were
so bad today it was unbelievable....
