Things went wrong. We can't tell you what, but it definitely
wasn't the goon we put in charge who delivered the most
       toothless tournament in living memory...
The RFU didn’t disclose specifics about where things went wrong
for fear of giving rivals a competitive advantage

Ah yes. Because everyone else wasn't beating us anyway. Scared
to give Italy some tips? Oh. Wait. They'd figured it out
       themselves.

       > The review concluded that, despite coming off a 12 game
winning run, England’s underperformance across the Six Nations
was not the result of a singular failure or issue. Instead, it
highlighted a number of interconnected performance areas, such
as discipline, execution of opportunities and making the most of
key moments, where improvement is required if England are to
consistently perform at the level expected.

So, basically all the fault of the players, not the coaching
       staff.

They should consider hiring some people whose job it is to
       resolve those issues

I don't really care about the age of the squad but it's a
rubbish excuse when the match day 23 tends to have in the region
of 800 to 900 caps between them.

I thought the same as I read it. Is age an excuse? Isn't Pollock
one of the "great redeemer" type of players? I don't hear
moaning that he's too young. If the age of the squad is an issue
       then pick another squad!

       We all know what went wrong;
       1. Poor tactics
       2. Poor selections
       3. Believed their own hype
       4. Bored to death in the team brief

Assuming I can count on my fingers and Wikipedia is not lying
about ages, the average age of the starting 15 v France is 27
       and six months.
They have 562 England caps and 27 Lions caps.
It is interesting they were both suffering from having all been
on the Lions tour, and lacking in experience.
