Wonderful stuff.
At 18.30 there's a briz dropgoal which hits the post and ends up
in-goal, which the ref disallows and gives a 22 dropout.
How did the ref think it had ended up over the line if not
through the posts?

To me it looks like the ball bounces from the crossbar back
towards the field of play but one end catches the post which
flips the ball around the post and into the in-goal

It's an odd angle for sure and not quite 4k, but I don't see how
the ball could travel that far behind the posts if the crossbar
kills all the momentum of the kick.

Agree. It's not as if it landed just over the line. There'd have
to be an incredibly strong wind to achieve that result.

Love it! Old school rugby. That drop goal decision was a strange
one.
Some great names out there too. I always loved watching Andy
Harriman play. Such a brilliant runner. Carling and Salmon in
the centres - what a pairing! And a young Mickey Skinner. Not to
mention plenty of others I watched when I first started going to
The Stoop.
Happy days.

The Carling try near the end was a beaut. Two lovely kits too
