Takeaway from that is our injury list is a pretty poor excuse
for the dire level of play we've put out this season. Many
pundits were putting us in the bottom three in preseason
       predictions anyway

       From the article:
"In the PREM, Harlequins are currently among the most exposed,
currently without senior figures such as James Chisholm, Fin
Baxter, Tyrone Green, Rodrigo Isgró and Stephan Lewies,
alongside a long tail of wider squad players.
In fact, the West London outfit is now without an astonishing 26
players, prompting them to sign Luke Yendle and Andrew Turner on
       short-term deals earlier this month."
So, you know, maybe it is a bit of a reason.

By calling it an excuse I was referring to MQ's interview with
LD where he focuses on injuries more than anything else. Of
course it is a factor, but even with many players back I don't
think we'd be a lot higher than we are now.
Has it been a huge challenge, yes, but the
       squad/gameplan/coaching/execution/leadership have been proved
inadequate themselves to the task of playing winning rugby.
That's a huge shame when there's no general lack of effort or
soul-searching, but we're not good enough and LD didn't really
address that in the interview, imo.

Like I said in another thread, two things can be true:
       1. We're playing badly without a clear plan and without
       confidence.
And, 2., We have too many injuries to key, experienced players
to turn that around even if we did have a plan.

Yes. 2 things can be true. Hence when we've put out a squad full
of 1st picks, we've still been ropey.
