The problem with Joe's posts is that they are usually quite
cryptic.
Does he mean that the coaching staff should do the honourable
thing?
Or is he talking about CEO and management?
Or owners?

The amusing thing is that Gilmore didn't quite say he'd given
up0 on the season; he merely implied (as I( recall) that the
season wasn't going to be focussed on the Prem. But had he said
something more upbeat and positive, many of the same people
criticising him would have ripped into him for doing so.

The quote:
“We disintegrated there. We need to look at the squad that we
have. The Prem has gone now for us. We’ll see how we frame it
for the rest of the season so we make sure we get something out
of it. Europe we’re in with a shot still, so we will go heavy
there.”
That’s not implied. That is clear and absolute. ‘The Prem’ has
gone.
