Congrats - you've just excluded a load of people who actually
play on a Saturday

I don't love the idea that in order to apply for an
international ticket you must be able to afford either a season
ticket or several matches at a Prem club. Let's not price out
90% of the market.

Yeah, replacing corporate tossers with Prem tossers wouldn't be
popular.

The object is to fill HQ with regular proper rugby people. Those
who play on a Saturday should of course be given an advantage
too. Good point. They would only miss one or two club games
though tbh. In my day, we played our club games early to allow
time to get to HQ for the International.

Lucky there was no rugby outside the Home Counties. Well, not
proper rugby played by proper rugby people. [emoji846]

As a massive aside to this, looking up Minty's time at Orrell, I
saw that in his first year there, Premiership 2 (I'd forgotten
that name!) had 3 NW teams (Orrell, Waterloo and Manchester) and
3 Yorkshire (Leeds, Otley and Wakefield).
A crying shame that none of those was able to sustain an
Exeter-type run into the Prem and beyond. Instead most of them
seem to have plummeted down the leagues with financial issues.

I know a decent amount of 'proper rugby people' who don't
support a Premiership team, let alone own a season ticket at
one. It's a very silly way to categorise people.

The other unintended consequence is that the Friday Night Lights
drinking crowd will quite possibly have attended 5 Prem games.
