Season tickets now on general sale, and despite being told about
a waiting list…there an awful lot of availability….

Yareet
Esher have exactly the opposite view.
Obviously Esher play in Nat 2 East.
But the decision in Surrey was to exclude 2nd XVs
Which they have found makes it much harder to arrange suitable
matches.
Now there may be a compromise, and the Game On regulations were
an attempt to ensure a game got played with whoever had turned
up, but I do not know at what levels they apply.

There’s a merit table for 2nd XVs which by that level is a
decent enough standard

Ealing know them coming up would probably be the end of them.
They are a big fish in a small pond, but if they wanted to be
competitive they would need a complete rebuild and a lot of
dosh. They’d also need to find a new home, and we all know what
happened to London Welsh when they came up and moved to Oxford.
I sadly don’t think we’ve heard the last of tindalls concept…

I'm more optimistic that Tindall's plan is gone forever. The
sudden death of LIV golf was probably the final nail in the
coffin, but the embarrassing lack of preparation showed it was
never serious to begin with.

Tindall seemed to come up with an idea in the pub one night
after a few pints, and then just constantly tried to find people
to pay for it.
Every time he was asked for details he just didn’t have any, he
seemed to have a tiny amount of the required financial backing,
that allowed him to go around and push the idea, and keep moving
the start date into the future.
He had no money, so could not sign any players, and no players
so he could not get any money, when he could no longer push the
date forward it collapsed.
Someone else could have a similar concept, but would need the
financial backing in place before going public.
And the idea that you pay players enough money to abandon their
current career, travel to various venues around the world, with
teams you have made up, and make a profit, seems a bit
incredulous.
The only way you could actually guarantee to make money, would
be to completely obtain control of the top 10 international
teams and the players and that is not going to happen.

Also, who in their right mind is going to support something that
is designed to take what little money there is in the game, out
of the game to pay "Investors"?
