We have never been a consistent top four team , mixed with the
occasional flash of brilliance season, but when we have been
towards the bottom of the table and even in the relegation year,
played attractive rugby ,this season and to a large extent last
       season, we have not.
I personally can live with that, this year started badly and has
got worse, and I long ago wrote it off, would like not to come
bottom, but that is the limit of my hopes.
Next year we have to make progress or there has to be major
change, but I live in hope that we will improve and that we will
       not be crippled by injuries.
We have 60% of the coaching staff in place and while it may not
be what we hoped for need to give them a chance, this year they
were saddled with someone else’s plan, will be interesting to
see who the other 40% are and if we sign any other players.
Who is in charge is set in stone and nothing is going to change
       that, onwards and upwards.

I hope you're right. But across the league a majority of big
deals have already been announced ahead of season ticket
       renewals.
We knew about Furbank six months ago. If there were another star
signing or two up the clubs sleeve it's likely it would've been
       leaked by now...

I just hope we hit the ground running with the new season. The
main issue with I guess giving the job to Jason is fans probably
will have less patience than if it was a brand new face with a
       bigger overhaul.
I’d like to think Robbie will have a positive impact and almost
       calm things down a bit.

We've been top 4 about as often as we've been bottom half of the
table, which is pretty good going.

We don't need to recruit top end players. We're not Sarries or
       Bath.

I'm confused by that, Quinky. This club was launched to success
by one of the greatest premiership signings of all time in Nick
Evans. With him and Andre, our success has been linked to high
quality signings just as much as the home grown stars. It's a
       balancing act.

Except your comment clearly was judging my type of support.
       Don’t pretend otherwise.
If other people want to continue to go to games that is of
course their choice. There’s nothing wrong with me encouraging
others to act otherwise. I’m not forcing anyone. But if, like
me, you feel there are issues at the very top of the club which
are being brushed under the carpet then the only way to make
your voice heard is to hit them in the pocket. If people stop
showing up they may make changes.

Maybe a better word for what I meant is quality? The squad
really does need reinforcement and whether new signings are star
internationals or not is immaterial to me if they can raise the
quality of the squad (e.g. Tyrone or WEv's arrivals in years
past). Obviously giving experience to Academy talent is key,
       too.

Two signings, out of many. My point remains that we should
import minimally, and develop talent through the ranks.
If we persist with the model of bringing in big names every
season, we run a number of risks: if they're EQP, we may not
have them as much as we'd like. Similarly if they're from a 6
Nations country. If they're simply chasing the bucks
(understandably), how long before Toulon, Sarries, Bath etc
swoop in and wave more cash to tempt them? It could block the
pathway for young guys coming through; look at Elliot Williams?
Would he have got the game time if Launchbury had been fit? It
also affects our ability to build a consistent core of a squad
if the mix is constantly changing substantially.
Nev may have been a key part of our title winning team, but what
about the rest of the squad? From memory: Lowe, JTH, Brown,
Williams, Marler, Kohn, Robshaw, Easter - been at the club for
years, had an almost telepathic understanding of each other, had
simply grown together as a team.
I'm not averse to bringing in a few players, but the constant
crying out for a raft of signings is extremely short-sighted
       IMO.
