I'm not an "internet hard nut". I'm not angry, I'm not going to
shout it at Kingston (unlike ill-mannered people who did), and
you're really going to have to try to explain to me how it's
"abuse" - really, honestly, there are lots of things that are
abuse, but me writing that I think Kingson was useless and
nearly destroyed the club on a rugby forum is not abuse.
Anyway, he may have done a lot of good things and he may well be
a very nice man, but under his leadership the club completely
disintegrated.
We end up with a situation where the club's most-capped player
and England legend says for two years the only time he enjoyed
rugby was when he was in the England camp.
Two years. It's utterly damning I'm afraid. Whatever "respect"
he's due has been massively damaged. (Still not clear to me what
this is meant to mean -- he's not given up his life to serve his
country, he's been paid to be a professional coach for a
professional sports team. On the same point am I meant to show
"respect" to the CEO of Sainsbury's because he's been there a
long time?)
You can be a brilliant Chief Exec or Prime Minister or military
officer or any kind of leader for years but legacy is legacy -
if you have a massive failure that's your legacy.
I'm afraid Kingston's legacy is the turmoil and failure that we
are only now starting to address.

Him being forwards coach does not put him in charge of, and
therefore responsible for, the rugby as a whole; only a part of
it.
Him being DoR does put him in charge of the rugby as a whole,
and therefore makes him responsible for it.
My suggestion was that your following statement is a
contradiction... He may not be "in the wrong". But he sure is
responsible. That was his job. The rugby!

Well not really no, and in fact the whole point is it's only as
time passes and Kingston is no longer associated with the club
will people feel able to talk about what happened that we'll
gradually learn more about why we ended up with a disenchanted
and awful team.
Brown saying he was only happy when away with England for two
years is a big deal.
We may eventually hear from Kingston, but probably not while
he's still trying to coach because he may come back in contact
with some of the players.
MB obviously feels it's time for him to say something - because
it would have been easier to say nothing about it than talk
about it in that way.
Until people talk more about it we'll never know what went
wrong.

The massive failure in this case is... being a bit shit for a
few seasons. On the flip side, he was there when we were bloody
awesome, so at the very least it balances out.
You're acting like the club was dissolved and we are all
supporting someone else now. Get some perspective, for crying
out loud. JK's career at the club is one to be respected even
taking into account his struggles as DoR.
