Shame he never kicked on with us. When he was announced I
thought he would use it almost as a way of getting back into the
England set up. From what I've heard he's an influential
character in the dressing room so will be interesting to see
whats next.

We got him a few years too late. In his prime, he was immense,
but by the time we recruited him, he was far past it. Still, a
great player with a fantastic career to look back on.

If only we hadn't let him go all those years back. We gave three
locks academy contracts that year but not him. Oh!

1st season good.
2nd season useful
3rd season injured
Lots of the good stuff he does is difficult to see such as maul
destroying.
He’s been Elliot Williams mentor as well as the other young 2nd
rows
