       Qualification for Heineken Cup 2026/2027
   DIR By: Nico Wilson

Could we, in theory, qualify for the Heineken Cup next season
simply by going up 1 place in the table to 8th?

Bearing in mind that we’re likely to lose all of our remaining
fixtures, I hope we’d be more focused on not finishing 10th.

I'm not sure 9th or 10th matters much, but missing out on the
Champions Cup might cost a few bob in attendances.
Luckily PRC qualification is top 10.

I would rather that we were in the Champions Cup.
I have bad memories of Thursday night games at The Stoop in the
Challenge Cup and games against French teams who really can't be
       bothered.

Trouble is, that also describes a lot of the champions cup pool
matches, away sides rarely seem to play anywhere near their full
       strength team.
We might actually win the challenge cup.

Two of my favourite away trips in Calvisano (Nun's on the train
back to Milan) and Timisoara (driving through remote Romanian
       villages) and good nights had.
I love the challenge cup, me

Could be defeatism but seeing Exeter do well in the Challenge
Cup whilst kicking on in the League. If the lesser competition
means a bit of a run in a cup and more energy for the League
then that's good for us next year, imo

Calvisano was quite possibly the coldest I've ever been at a
rugby match. Below freezing, sitting on pizza boxes on concrete
seats, and fog thicker than Josua Tuisova's thighs. Still, a
       great time was had regardless!

Yeah that fog was crazy we couldn't tell who scored the trys in
the 2nd half but the hospitality in their club house was
fantastic, till someone realised we only had 15 minutes till the
       last train to Milan
