As far as I know Duncan Saville is a pretty reclusive
individual. He isn't UK based. He used to live in Australia,
then moved to the Bahamas. He is a Singapore resident according
to companies house. So if he does watch games, it's not usually
in the flesh. However, there's nothing stops him watching the
       games remotely.
He did recently put himself on the board of HFC Ltd

/>which perhaps indicates a more hands on approach.

Ask Laurie why recruitment in recent years has been so poor
(some successes, of course, like CCS and Isgro), with too many
old has-been (cheap?) journeymen. Supposedly, we spend up to the
cap, so we must be spending it very poorly relative to teams
like Bath, Northampton, Leicester, etc. Why do fans get the
clear impression that the club's ambitions are being number one
in social media and inclusivity, and ninth or higher in the
Prem? And maybe why, after a global search (language we've heard
in the past) with a big chequebook, do we end up appointing the
person who has overseen this past season's never-ending dross?
Has it come to a point where heavy-hitter DoRs aren't interested
       in the job?

I'd echo the question on recruitment. Furbank apart, we don't
seem to recruit as well, wisely and financially astutely as
other clubs. To me, we seem to spend big money on over the hill
players. Maybe that's wrong and the over the hill players are
cheap as chips. If we're spending up to the salary cap, why are
we not top of the table? Don't believe that "well, it's a young
team that will gell in the future" guff. If most players are on
two year contracts, we have the opportunity to churn half the
team every year. It will always be in a state of flux. It's not
the "London is so much more expensive" argument. Saracens manage
to recruit better than us, why is that? (actually...[emoji4])
Saints, Bath, Tigers, Chiefs, Bears. The five top of the table
teams at the moments. Why are they there, top of the table, and
we're breathing a sigh of relief because of Newcastle, and even
then no relegation. What is the common factor in those teams I
mentioned that they're fighting for a place in the final and
we're at the back of the field?
Are our coaches subject to a vigorous performance review at the
end of every season in the same way players are put under the
microscope when contracts end? Do we have someone out even now
scouting to replace NEV and Bomb and the like? If not, should
we? If we have the best coaches, then great. If we don't, why
       are we persisting with them?
Who is in charge of getting our players heads sorted for a
match? Is there a single person? It seems we've seen players
uninterested, going through the motions, just lying there a
little bit longer on the ground rather than springing up and
making one more tackle. Are some players no longer motivated to
wear the shirt? Are the players getting a bunch of mixed
messages from the plethora of coaches and consultants we seem to
       have.
Finally, what does he see as our three biggest problems, what
are the plans to fix them and what are the time frames involved.
       ?

Definitely what DOK said about us spending up to the cap. I've
queried whether we really do a few times and been assured by
posters on here that it's an effect of our financial wizardry
       through and post COVID.
I'd like to know why we appear to be the only team who have
hamstrung themselves by this approach to the salary cap. Or, is
it just simply that we don't spend up to the cap.
I'm fine if we don't spend up to the cap but be honest about it.

I’d ask if the he, the owners and the board are aware than
supporters patience doesn’t last forever. And that for many, it
is really being tested now. And while there are valid reasons
that Sale wasn’t a sell out (even then it was well below
expectations) Gloucester also didn’t sell out at 3pm on a
Saturday and that is a sign of things to come.

He may say look at Newcastle and their very poor results.
Despite that they maintain a loyal fan base!

DHL_ pay the team wages as part of the sponsorship deal, and
apparently it’s absolutely to the cap

My question would focus on the retention of academy talent.
We've seen quite a few of our brightest leaving for other clubs
e.g. Benson, Anyanwu, Tizard, Marchant, Jibulu, Sinckler. I know
each case is specific to its own circumstances but why does this
       keep happening?

Just finished, very constructive hour with a lot of honest
dialogue. I’ll do a thread when I’ve had chance to get it
written down as a summary of things and do a thread
