There has been a lot of discussion around why the attendance
yesterday was so low.
I could not believe that the official number (according to EPCR)
was 7,515...
I couldn't go because I was away for a wedding and I know others
will have had similar circumstances.
But for a club who can get 80k to a game at Christmas. I'm
shocked that our support is so thin.
I know we've been crap, I know the game was at an inconvenient
time and I know tickets were a bit overpriced.
But I'm still stunned that the attendance was THAT low!

Unlike the passive aggressive sarky haters I have, I’ve stepped
away from solely blaming the ref for our demise. I sent Laurie a
long extensive email with my concerns.
At the end of the day, I’m 37, and have been coming to Quins
since I was 9 years old. I’ve clapped the likes of Dan Luger and
Paul Burke, to saying how shit Adrian Jarvis was. I love this
club but it’s utterly rotten. I’m currently brushing up on piers
Morgan skills if I did get a response from LD.
But I’ve never turned away from meeting anyone anyway!

I'm not stunned at all. I genuinely think current performance is
circa 25% of the reason. 8pm on a Saturday on a Bank Holiday
weeknd is a killer time.

Yeah the attendance was poor. I was coming from T Wells and
there were train eng works into London, and train disruption
from Waterloo to Twick which meant that an 8pm kick off I got
back at 0020. I'm a season ticket holder and if the rest of the
group I go with hadn't committed I would have definitely saved
the schlep (and was still tempted to). I can understand others
in similar positions not going, especially considering Sale at
home again in just a few weeks!

I caught a stinking cold and ultimately decided not to spread my
germs around. So, I watched on TV, mostly fast forward,
conducting a scientific trial to see what sort of alcohol was
best for my condition.

IMHO
1. Easter Bank Holiday weekend = loads of people away.
2. 8pm on a Saturday with train issues
3. Price of Tickets and associated costs (as well as life costs
increasing dramatically)
4. Opposition - no disrespect to Sale…….
5. Even if we won, next game would probably have been Leinster
In Dublin, Again!
6. Team isn’t playing well, leading to General apathy.

The Quins way would be a well drilled and emphatic 42-18 style
win followed by being nilled at Saracens
