Now confirmed.
Our most interesting signing since Andre. Really good player, a
clear move that indicates that our two playmakers are at 10 and
15 with the 9 managing the game. Also a leader, and we are short
on those.
Some will point out that he's 29 and injury prone (and therefore
fits our type) but he's played over 50 fewer professional games
than Marcus has despite being three years older, so has fewer
miles on the clock in some respects.

The injury point stands but Marcus was essentially a starter at
19/20 (iirc) which is incredibly rare. If Furbank came through a
year or two later that would make up some difference

It's encouraging to hear that this dual playmaker vision seems
to be the team's plan, so to speak, and that we're recruiting
top quality to fulfil it.
Unless Bellamy is extremely highly rated by the club (plus
Slevin?), I'd like to see us pick up another player in the role.
Furbank is a super addition but Benson leaves a different hole
in the Senior squad
