I'd like him to play in the 16th arrondissement as thats
       comfortably in chopper range.

think Marcus is his own man, I hope he decides to prove the
current England set up wrong, stop mucking about at full back
for Quins and focus on being the best 10. I think if he lets
borthwick dictate his position at 15 he will only ever be second
string England player and have bit parts to play. If I were him
now I'd just focus on 10 and be the best there is so Borthwick
cant ignore him, while he panders to the 15 he's something and
nothing, will only ever be used as back up bench player and he's
way better than that. Tell Borthwick thanks but no thanks and
get on with what he''s best at. I hope thats at Quins.

Are you going to give him the £200k he'd lose out on? Ridiculous
       suggestion.

Unless I'm missing something, Marcus doesn't pick the team for
       either Quins or England...

Depends on the size and range of your chopper...

not suggesting he does pick the team but you cant tell me it
was Quins idea to play him at full back it is well published
where that idea came about. Not a ridiculous suggestion an
option for him depending on what he wants, going to France loses
him the £200K anyway as he wont be considered for England.

But Quins don't start him at 15 - he just moves there later in
games sometimes depending on the makeup of the bench.
And he'd make the £200k back in salary if he moved to France. So
while I take your point about him seeming like the type of guy
to make his own decisions and not be led by others who have gone
before... he doesn't hold all the cards like you seem to be
suggesting. Especially with "on-field coach" Ford and the
younger of the Smiths, Fin, seemingly preferred by Borthwick,
you'd have to say the odds are stacked against Marcus nailing
down the England 10 shirt for the foreseeable...
       So currently he finds himself:
       - Going to England training camps but only featuring for 30 mins
       off the bench at best
       - Sitting out for large chunks of the Prem season due to
       mandatory rest periods
       - When he does pull on the quarters finds himself playing behind
a weak pack so is unable to string a run of form together,
seemingly getting increasingly frustrated in the process
It's perfectly plausible, then, that he might want a change -
       and who could blame him?

Agree completely TBQ and the extra money going across the
channel would more than compensate for what he'd lose
financially with England, plus a whole new fan base to help with
       socials and sponsor profiles.
I would much rather have him in the shirt for England of course
but just can't see it, even if he steers Quins back into trophy
contention. Borthwick is too risk averse to fully let him play
       his way and throw caution...
