Not sure why Parling apologised, honestly. The presenters
interrupted the warm-up when they shouldn't. He gave a very
gentle push to one of them. Was it the use of the f-word (which,
ironically, we're not allowed to use here), because I surely no
one can expect to go to a rugby game and not hear it.

Have you seriously never heard the commentators apologising for
every incident of "bad language" from the players during the
game?

They apologise so that viewers can’t complain to OFCOM, the code
of conduct requires an apology at the earliest opportunity.

Parling isn't a commentator, as far as I know. I've never heard
the individual players apologise for swearing.

You must have seen a post match interview with one of the
players when they have accidentally sworn and then immediately
appologised.
Not just rugby either. I remember it happening when they
interviewed the captain of one of the teams in the Boat Race a
few years ago.

I find Craig Doyle to be such a bleeping bleep, and so Parling
should have apologised for not belting him.
