General Stoop Atmos

This may just be me that's gone to too many nightclubs and lost
most my hearing, but does anyone else feel as though some of the
vibe has been lost from the stoop? Not just because of the
obvious routing we have received over the last few games, but it
seems as though the crowd, music and announcements are quieter
overall.
I sit right next to the DJ and it seems as though he is scared
to play a song too loud and i felt as though i could barely hear
the announcer on saturday.
Maybe a bit of volume will create a bit of energy and a bit of
oomph to get out there and play well, and get the crowd hyped
for some proper quins rugby

well not sure about others but I feel a bit weird singing "you
aint seen nothing like the mighty quins" when we play like we've
been playing, although that said there are quite a few teams
above us that haven't seen anything like how we've been playing
recently just a bit strange for us to brag about it :-). The
stands were really empty last week probably at least 30% of the
seats non occupied even in the east and west stands so it was a
pretty flat atmosphere plus with what was served up one of the
quietest games I've seen at the stoop.

And they need to stop playing the mighty quin just before a line
out.....always ends with us losing possesion

Some decent music would be preferable. 'modern' seems to be hey
the kids are using freed form desire on tiktok. So unoriginal.
My 11 year old daughter came on Saturday and was asking me why
they were playing stuff from 2020. We used to have decent tunes,
particularly to run out - justice/Genesis for example. Even
London calling and joker and the thief, whilst not really my
thing, were at least a bit fitting. Now the music is genuinely
dire.

Agreed. It’s so past it’s sell by date, heavily overused and
almost always results in a poor lineout.

My memory from when I first started going was that they used to
play it at random times, when we were playing well or when the
crowd needed a lift, not just before an attacking line out. Then
they stopped using it and llthe powers that be said they
wouldn't bring it back - now it just signals an impending
turnover.

Completely agree on the mighty quin jingle at the lineout. That
needs to be banned forever. Whats wrong with pushing the boys
over the line with a proper old fashioned HEAVE rather than a
whimsical "yOu AiNt SeEn NuThIn LiKe tHa mIgHtY qUiNz!!!"
Everything screams lackluster at the moment

It seems to have coincided with them getting rid of the woman
that used to DJ, i think her name was Charlotte Stape? I thought
she played some decent loud and modern tunes.

Yeah I liked Char Stape. Even as someone stuck in the 80s music
wise, she always played a good set. I just presumed she had a
bigger job now

Yeah, I think she's just been given a position in the coaching
set-up
