So, that's a no, then.

So what would the excuse be with Delgado and Walker? Both are
internationals, but neither look it.

Jack may have been picked for a couple of tests, but calling him
an 'ingernational' for the purposes of this argument is pretty
redundant.

After another shambles, again at home, I think I am realising
that my long-term measured and reasonable view of our future
really isn't tenable any more.
I have no confidence that any of our senior men's team coaching
staff are going to be able to turn this around, even in the
medium to long term, let alone this season.
Time to change the whole lot. We should also think about moving
on our Strength and Conditioning team, given the continual,
lengthy list of absentees. Also everyone currently in charge of
recruitment and retention.
We need to completely separate the business side (where LD has
been very good) from the rugby side. We need an experienced,
heavyweight Director of Rugby who can appoint the whole coaching
team and be in charge of recruitment and retention and playing
style.
If the owners (who have been terrific for the club for so long)
feel they can't afford the related costs, then it might be time
for new franchise owners who feel that they can.

Why has LD been good? Sure we have some followers on twitter,
but it hasn't translated into the constant promises of break
even, nowhere close. The match day experience is getting worse,
massively overpriced food and drink, expensive tickets and music
which sounds like it was put together by somebody who last went
out in the mid-naughties.

Let’s not forget all the terrible appointments LD has signed off
too. His time is up. Yeah great he marshalled the fireworks and
instagram campaign, the team on the pitch is dross - and that’s
the most important thing

You and I may think that but ticket sales might suggest
otherwise, apparently.

Our real problem is that we have players who do do things really
well. Isgro absolutely melted opposing players in tackles.
Bradley and, particularly, Waghorn punched through tacklers.
Kenningham fought for everything. David was fast and elusive.
But despite that, the team aren't working together. Someone does
something good, and then there's no real follow-up. No one seems
to know what they're supposed to be doing, so they all try their
own thing. There's no coordination, no understanding.
I don't believe we don't have the players, but we don't have the
coaches to show them what to do, and they now all seem to expect
to lose, so the moment we fall behind, heads drop and any plan
disappears entirely.

I'm slightly undecided on how to rate dalrymple. He's always
spoken well and the club certainly seemed to be on a good
footing and achieving regular sell outs.
On the other hand, he's overseen some dreadful coaching
appointments, was in part responsible for the poor handling of
mike brown's departure, which I think can reasonably be classed
as a poor decision in hindsight. He's overseen a clear reduction
in quality in the squad. Big summer kick off hasn't really taken
off properly. Marler and others seem unimpressed. The finances
seemingly haven't improved as expected.

This season is the first one I’ve seen quite a lot of comments
on SM about not renewing…I know that’s not a fair sample but I
think people are slowly wising up to the idea paying a lot of
money for a product you don’t enjoy isn’t worth it. The kick off
time issue is at least made a bit better if you know you’ll get
a good game

Well I'm hoping this year that my wife finally relents and we
can give up our STs. But it's the kick off times that are the
killer for us. If they were better, i.e. not too late, and
Richmond College parking was still available I suspect we'd
renew, although happily would be a stretch.

I also don’t get the impression that the owners are that fussed
about performance as long as we don’t get relegated. Now the
threat of that is pretty much gone i don’t see much intent from
anyone to win or drive things forward.
