TNT bid £8m more than Premier sports for the EPRC rights, the
EPRC believed they would get a large offer for the other non UK
and French European markets that never happened.
The lack of competition is the reason for the low cost of the
Prem rights, the ITV bids for international matches shows that
the rights are under valued, the falling out of the league with
Sky is why there is no competitive bidding process.
TNT have lost the champions league football and non six nations
England rugby matches and the EPRC, so will have to reduce their
subscription prices, who knows if they will survive and who will
       own them eventually.

In 2026, Warner Bros. Discovery plans to split into two publicly
traded companies. One company, tentatively called WBD Global
Networks, will house TNT, CNN, TBS, Discovery, and digital
products like Discovery+ and Bleacher Report, led by CFO Gunnar
Wiedenfels. The other company, WBD Streaming & Studios, will
include HBO, Warner Bros. Television, Warner Bros. Pictures, DC
Studios, and HBO Max, led by CEO David Zaslav (Cord Cutters
News; NBC News). This split is expected to take 12–18 months,
but TNT will remain under Warner Bros. Discovery’s cable network

After weeks of being told they have a plan to get us out of this
mess, did anyone see anything from yesterday that suggested
changes? I thought it was more of the same against a very poor
opposition who lost their best player early.

Yeah, I know, that's all an expansion of what I said, apart from
the last bit about TNT which is irrelevant.
You still haven't explained how something can be worth twice as
much if no-one is prepared to pay twice as much.

Start again from top down, we have the second highest season
ticket prices in the Prem and a good stadium, we all deserve
better than what we are seeing this and last season. The match
day experience is good until the whistle blows and the game
starts at this moment we are devoid of confidence , I feel
really sorry for players like Kenningham who gives his all week
in week out whilst others just don’t seem bothered. The coaching
doesn’t seem to be making any difference to the poor
performances we are seeing week to week. Team selection also
seems like head coach favourites are getting picked when they
are putting in poor performances every game Walker is a prime
example how he gets picked of Turner is a joke. I feel the
unless something is done fast we will see loads of of STs not
renewing and more casual attendees no longer coming and more
seats unoccupied next season, gone are the days when LD could
       brag about sellouts !

I got back and put this out pretty quickly. I totally understand
the anger, I was fuming, but editorially I try and not hammer
       the negatives *too* much.
  HTML https://dispatchesfromthestoop.substack.com/p/underwhelming-and-imprecise-normal
I haven't watched it back - but did really like Bryn and
Waggers, and though defence on the most part had more
connectedness than earlier in the season. Handling errors just
constantly rack up. We are in the top 25% of poorest
touches-to-error* - and you don't even need the stats to see it!
The try, body language, and reaction off of the Isgro error was
an absolute back breaker. I absolutely love the guy, he is a
physical freak, but that nonchalance is such a bad look when the
fans are desperate for some fight.
It feels to me like the club need to announce some positive
restructuring and appointments for next season asap or this pain
       discontent could really snowball.

[/quote]Because the last two Prem tv rights sales have only had
one bidder, because of the history between the league and Sky,
for the number of viewers and the audience demigraphic, what TNT
are paying and the return from adverts is a very good deal.
