600k would be a pretty great salary for a prem coach?

Fair enough - although Fissler is more a lukewarm sack of dog
crap with a twitter account than he is a journalist.

He’s pretty reliable, so perhaps you should leave the childish
       remarks in the playground.

Robbie would have been fantastic 10 years ago. He's 66 now.
Probably not that bothered about a full time job! Feels like
       Quins clutching at straws.

I think I'll wait till the club announce anything officially. So
many reports turn out to be inaccurate or completely wrong.
Regarding Easter, I don't hold much stead by where Chinnor
currently sit. Better to look at the progress he's made. Either
he's got an underperforming bunch to hit their full potential
(ring any bells?), or he's taken a team and vastly improved them
from what they were. If you're basing your wish list on where
the particular individual's team is now, and you want the best,
you'll only settle for Rassie. Nice thought though. On the other
hand, if you find a guy who can take Sutton Coldfield 3rd XV to
the middle of the Championship, it's a bit rich to gripe that
       they're only a mid-table team.

I am not in the least convinced about Nick Easter as DoR of
Harlequins, for any number of reasons, but especially his own
recent proximity to the club as a player (and short while,
coach) and lack of top-level DoR experience. However, what he
has achieved with Chinnor (a very different challenge, but
nonetheless very commendable) is quite remarkable, given the
       ground, the resources, etc.

[/quote]And his record with the USA, where he is attack and
defence coach, is less than great, only teams beaten in last 10
matches, Belguim, Romania and Samoa, loses to Spain and Canada.

I like NE but he isn't what we need. Basically, if we go for
anyone other than someone with a proven track record already
doing a top job (in a directly comparable league) it could be
       curtains for the club.
Now, it could work out in the way Dowson at Saints has. But
that's a huge gamble. There is a chance it could work, but
there's probably a bigger chance it wouldn't which would be a
real disaster. My main fear is we get in someone who's never had
a great example of being at the helm getting success, and we
continue to be crap. Our top players within a season or 2 will
then go, and we will struggle to attract anyone half decent
which would resign us to probably a team having the season goal
       of not finishing bottom.
Obviously, a big name isn't 100% to do well but we at least need
to make educated decisions which we've not really done the last
       6-7 years
