Will be a hard sell considering nothing to play for in the
league combined with overall looking turgid at best. Obviously
we want/need this event to be a success for the coffers but it's
probably served as a bit of a wake up to the powers that be that
certain elements of the fanbase aren't to be taken for granted
as a cashcow. It's all well and good wheeling out the hawiian
shirts (that cost a bomb) and all the music acts, but if you
haven't got a team performing or even competing then people will
lose interest. We've not even been bombarded by the social
media team with that much content about it (yet)
Last year I think it was around 50,000.I'll be surprised if this
year will get more than 40k at a push

Saw a post on facebook....ticket sales amazingly look thin on
the ground.

Hopefully they will announce the music act soon.
Then they can really go to town with the marketing.
Hope it does well ---we could do with the revenue.

I am not confident there even will be a music act. Normally
Laurie says at the AGM it will be announced soon. But this time
not a word. There has not even anything about merchandise. I am
wondering if Quins are writing this one off and not wanting to
spend more money in order to reduce the losses they will
inevitably make.

Seems a lot more tamer on the “push”
For it. The merch usually would be banded around now and there
hasn’t been the usual “xx tickets sold” type posts.
I think they’ve probably read the room with it and know it’s a
tall order. Either that or the social media team are in the
changing room looking for the next player to give some kind of
motivational comment, Petti was last weeks.

BSK is only any good if we’re in or going for the playoffs. It’s
something you can’t guarantee when you book it.
