I've watched Cleaves very closely and unfortunately he just
looks a bit soft/uncommitted to me. Shirks contact, doesn't
commit fully to tackles... and comes off worse for it more often
than those who get their head down and throw their weight
through the contact area. I don't know if it's a psychological
thing due to injury, but if he can't commit his body to the
cause like others do then I'm sorry to say he'll just continue
       to be a liability.
Might seem harsh and maybe I am just fed up of us being
overpowered all the time, since we are already lacking
       physicality across the board.

Yes that's a fair concern. I can't remember his contract status
and wouldn't release him but I don't want us relying on or
paying him as a 3rd/4th winger (nor Nick David). Bringing in
someone or blooding an academy player is a necessity at this
       point

He’s over at Tonbridge Juddians but I don’t think he’s even
       getting a game there

Don't get the anti-Nick David stuff. He's an excellent club
winger. No, he's not going to get into any national team, but we
need players who won't but are still good, because we actually
need players on the field. He also plays 15 when we need him to,
and does well. Is Murley better? Yes, of course. So is Green.
But I'd take David on the pitch over Cleaves any day and over
       Isgro recently.

Agreed. David isn't first choice but he's a very decent second
choice and I imagine fairly cheap

Some of these are a blow, but only a couple unexpected (carr,
lawday). Some don't really make much difference as they're never
       fit

In state of play Laurie mentions the injuries. Surely the s&c
team needs looking at. Most of these injuries seem to happen
       outside of match days

I mentioned elsewhere that it will be interesting to see if
Lewies manages to stay fit at his new club.

Watch out Jammy, looks like we have a Dave Lewis fan in our
       midst.

I'm sure poorfour has some stats on this but I think certain
types of injury are more likely to occur in training, and vice
versa, and the players spend far more time training than
       playing.
