Let’s hope we can sign a decent back up 9 so we get rid of
Mulchrone and Lewis in the summer. Mulchrone isn’t good enough
I’m afraid - his passing today and last week was dreadful - and
Lewis has been a disaster!
If we can keep Care, bring in the rumoured 9 from Argentina and
keep Saunders and Walters (I really hope he gets a chance next
season after playing regularly for Jersey) then we will be much
better off than at present with Mulchrone and Lewis.

Mulchrone has also won 2 motm awards recently. He can be
annoyingly inconsistant but he’s clearly our second best scrum
half.

Anyway, our problems run deeper. It’s inconceivable that our
line out has not improved an iota over tha last few years but
there you go. It’s no surprise to hear that Codling is off -
he’s either sub-standard or he’s fed up of trying to coach
players who refuse to change. Can’t see us getting a win next
week, our away form and stomach for the job are too weak.

Tigers in the doldrums and a side we have done ok against away

A win is a win is probably the most positive thing I can say
about yesterday. Dreadful conditions but we really didn’t help
ourselves a lot of the time. Lineout still malfunctioning, too
many daft penalties. Kicking from hand absolutely mindless. That
said, last season we’d have contrived to lose that somehow.
Welford Road is a whole different ball game. The result will
depend on which version of each team turns up as we’ve both been
Jekyll and Hyde this year, them even worse than us!
Also, is there anything confirmed on Codling? Certainly haven’t
seen anything.

Fair enough if Tigers play poorly. But if they put a half decent
performance in we're unlikely to stand a chance.

He’s not good enough despite being MoM against a very poor Agen
side!
