Assuming that the players travelling are not injured, then this
is really good news for our squad availablity

Need to go full strength, nothing is gained from some pre season
style selection. Prem is gone anyway but might as well try and
get them playing together and get some pride back

I assume that all 28 players will play.
So - start with 15 and then make 13 subs at half time or
something like that.

Yes, I'd assume that too.
If we select a 1st XV/XXIII from that it will be a massacre. Or
at least it should be.

I doubt that we will be that competetive.
I would expect Pirates to either win, or come close to winning.
These friendlies are hard to judge.
When you are trying to give everyone gametime, you usually end
up with a disjoined performance and lots of players playing out
of position.
E.g. there are 3 scrum halfs - so each may only get either 25
minutes - or, at least one will need to play out of position.
Also, any player that is playing well normally gets taken off
early. It is the rustier players that need more time on the
field.
Ditto - any player just returning from injury.
So the final 15 on the pitch is normally fringe players, players
who are really lacking any sort of form, or players playing out
of position.
The nice thing about this game though is that (as far as I know)
the players are donating their match fees to Cornish Pirates so
that they can make repairs to their ground.
And - it looks like it will be a good turnout.

Harlequins have named an extended squad to take on Cornish
Pirates in a friendly at Mennaye Fields on Saturday (07 March,
KO 14:30).
Jason Gilmore has named a strong side that will run out in
Penzance against one the CHAMP's in-form sides.
In the front row, Will Hobson and Simon Kerrod start at
loosehead and tighthead respectively, with Jack Musk named at
hooker.
Kieran Treadwell and Jonny Green continue their second row
partnership. Guido Petti Pagadizábal starts at blindside flanker
with Will Evans starting on the openside and Alex Dombrandt
skippering the side from number 8.
Stu Townsend continues his run at scrum-half with Jamie Benson
pulling the strings at fly-half.
Bryn Bradley and Ben Waghorn are paired up in the centres for
Saturday's contest, while Nick David and Rodrigo Isgró start on
the left and right wing. Josh Bellamy rounds off the starting XV
at full-back.
The Quarters have named an extended bench that includes Sam
Bland, Ethan Clarke, Boris Wenger and Pedro Delgado. Lock Morgan
Jones (Doncaster Knights) and back rower Rifleman Lekima Ravuvu
(British Army & Ampthill RFC) will bolster Quins’ forward
options from the bench in Penzance.
Max Green, Jake Murray, Connor Slevin, Cameron Anderson, Finlay
Cunnison, Sean Kerr, Ludo Kolade will provide cover to the
backline.
