I've only watched the highlights so can't really comment fairly.
Roebuck's defence for their last try was pretty hilarious.
These results have been coming. Doesn't say much for our press
and pundits that they seem surprised.
Really don't want Scotland to win the 6 nations and want
borthwick to get the message, so hope France thump us

       Very good by Italy.
Despite the loss, I think England's team this week were a bit of
an upgrade in places. Murley was much better than Arundel. Fin
Smith was better than Ford. Daly was better than Steward, but
he's too slow. Furbank must surely take that shirt soon.
The centres remain an issue, and IMO, that's where we lost it.
That and the fact that Borthwick left it far too late to
introduce too many of the subs.
All-in-all, unless we pull out a miracle win against France,
Borthwick will have to consider his position, because this has
       been an appalling 6N.

Borthwick’s selection and subs have been baffling this 6
       nations.
From 4-8 there’s no natural carrier in today’s XV aside from
Earl who has to do way too much. And he’s more elusive string
runner than a hard yard merchant. CCS and Pollock are on the
bench who both offer something different but effective yet both
       are brought on too late.
The 6-2 bench hamstrings you unless absolutely everything goes
to plan for the backs. Any injuries outside of 9 within the
first few minutes and the game plan is Donald ducked. Scotland
game showed that amply yet he persisted.
Daly - bizarre selection full stop. Defeats is one thing, but
the manner of them has been awful. It’s the sheer magnitude of
decline in performances since the Autumn that is so marked and
why I hate to sound like MQ but SB must go, take Wiggy with him
and let Blackett run things for the summer.

Earl had an extremely good game and he is the last person
deserving of criticism from that performance.

I didn’t criticise him? He was the only one carrying any real
       carrying threat in the forwards!

RugbyPass have Marcus as Englands joint worst performer:

His 6 minutes were obviously the problem.

I thought Murley was very good. So, he will have to wait a
couple of years for his next cap. Couple of technical things:-
Italian ruckers constantly joining from not BEHIND the back foot
then rolling up the side of the ruck to "accidentally" make our
possession very poor/slow, and what the effing F was a knackered
prop doing in the D line at Centre for their try?

For me, part of the problem is that he takes the ball into
contact every single time. He makes yards, arguably more than he
should, and he does it well. But it's 100% predictable.
Maybe it's because England don't have enough heavy ball
carriers? Or maybe it's the limited, one dimensional game plan.
Truck up, two or three phases, box kick, defend the return,
eventually get the ball back, rinse and repeat.
England have some very good backs. They don't always pick them,
and when they do they don't get anywhere near enough ball.

The entire breakdown was refereed really poorly. The Italians
were smart enough to realise that the ref wasn't going to
penalise most offences at the breakdown and play to that.
