There's lots to like about that team. I'm so glad Murley has got
the nod over Arundell when he has a more rounded game and I
think should've had opportunities Arundell has been given.
I've heard journos say picking Furbank has been considered risky
given he's not had game time this season. Makes you wonder why
he's in the wider squad anyway but hopefully for Quins' sake he
       recovers fully for next season!

My worry is the lack of heft in the forwards. That back row in
my view is fairly light weight

Been an issue all tournament, too. Better to pick a big man at
       6?

Is it just a team to play Italy though and keep the wolves from
the door? Will he revert when it's France???
Agree on the back row, way too light and Pepper aside, haven't
really shown great things in the last 3 games. This obsession
with Earl at 8 is unbalancing things without a proper basher at
       6. I like Atkinson and think he deserved to hold onto the jersey
after the summer but as I saw on Twatbook earlier, does playing
F Smith at 10 just mean we kick it faster???

Chessum was unfairly dropped in my view, and I'd have been happy
with him at 6 at a push considering Itoje is undroppable. Curry
I think is really there on name alone and isn't in the greatest
form either. CCS at 6, Fisilau at 8 and Earl at 7 would be
       better for carrying.

A lot of changes, and it does worry me that this might be a
sacrificial team. Because if they lose against Italy, that's
going to kill a lot of their chances for future games. And if
they win, well, it's just Italy who have never beaten us.

Let's just hope for a Murley hattrick and no brain farts.

Furbank has played 8 matches this season, I don't think he's
that rusty. The logic is apparently that this team has been
training together and opposing the regular team in England
       sessions.
Seems a bit panicky to me but hey, I'm glad the coaches have
decided it's definitely all the players who are to blame here...

It seems fairly obvious to me. England are just following a
pre-determined plan, ignoring results, and there is no panic
       from Sure Footed Steve.
