From how I read it, if the women's team is successful, then we
can never be relegated.

So to be a potential investor in mens rugby you also have to
invest in womens rugby and community rugby. You'll probably have
to pay the Prem joining fee of shares & you'll know you'll lose
money to cvc. Your ground will still have to be viable and
you'll still have to meet all the rules that stop sides
currently entering the Premiership (?). You'll still have to
play in the Championship for at least a year, that may also
involve getting into the Championship unless you're going to
invest in one of those clubs, even then you might be in the
wrong location! Plus you're investing in a club game that is
losing vast ammounts year on year. Not getting the positives
here?

Not sure how the changes would affect anyone who still has a
Harlequin FC Bond holding. Perhaps none at all unless anyone out
here has any idea?

As a longstanding fan and ticket buyer there's little reason for
this investor to get excited! Maybe I'm in six-nations doldrums,
but while upcoming Glawster might be a nice day out, it's
essentially a 'friendly game'. While Europe qualification may be
at stake, 8th out of 10 teams is hardly 'Champion' status.
Without jeopardy, I envisage lots more friendly (pointless)
games across the franchise from next season!

And in what way would that be different from any other season?
Can you remember, without looking it up, the last time there was
any "jeopardy". And if you can, how exciting was it? How long
did it last?

I can't disagree if I only look backwards - though watching
Sarries was enjoyable!
But l prefer to look forwards and I had hoped we'd move away
from the excuses of the covid-era oligopoly toward the
excitement of newcomers to the Premiership, and not a single
friendly game!
Instead they've opted to wait for the old boys network (Worc'
Wasps' and Irish) to catch up and rejoin, while using fake
'essentials' to exclude anyone who isn't one of them (ie from
the Championship)!

Yeah, fair enough. I'm not sure it will actually change much,
though. Ealing will never pass the audit, Doncaster have but are
reverting to semi-pro next season and are struggling on the
pitch anyway and Bedford aren't interested. Which pretty much
leaves Coventry and Wuss. Wuss aren't in a hurry and I'm not
sure what the situation is with Coventry and the audit. So, if
this "revamp" hadn't happened things wouldn't necessarily have
been any different, apart from Red Bull probably not investing
in Newcastle.

Coventry constantly apply and fail, due to not having planing
permission in place, their applications are more about politics
and creating a platform to tell people that the RFU and Prem,
should help fund clubs into the top tier and provide parachute
payments if they were relegated.
So the new system would remove the need for the later, and in
theory encourage investment.
