The reality is were probably not first choice for any of the
Southern Hempishere coaches that have been linked. Cotter has
chosen the Reds, Rennie clearly wants the AB role and
Roberston's motivations are unknown (does he want a break from
rugby, is he prepared to uproot to the UK for a minimum of 3
years etc). I'd like to think we've made Robertson a big offer,
but even if we have, it's not the only factor.
MM would be underwhelming, and smacks of club management not
reading the room.
Hey ho, we might be pleasantly surprises yet, but Fissler's hit
rate is usually pretty good.

The timing is not great with many contracts up to the 2027 RWC
both for many under contract and others only wanting a role
until then to keep options open. Will some of these southern
hemisphere names really want to relocate for Quins? We are
likely to be fishing in a fairly small pool and perhaps limited
to future talent rather than an existing big dog. I think we'd
all agree that working with what we have until post RWC isn't an
option.
