What IS the deal with Waghorn? He's been out for months, yet
we've not got in any reinforcements if his injury was that bad.

Or we want a minimum of three available 9's as at the moment we
only have two.

Bit of a rambling thought but:
The medical joker only allows teams to replace like with like.
Waghorn is 21 and had a new contract announced in November.
I wonder if officially therefore for this season he is an
academy player and any replacement would have to be that level.
If (very if) that’s the case, I can see why a decision would be
made not to spend money on a replacement and instead use who is
available in the squad.
Beard going under the knife I assume means he’ll be out for 12
weeks. That allows you to bring in another centre and that could
well be more of a Waghorn replacement.

Coaches obviously think Kerr can fill the 12 void for now but
he's not powerful enough in my opinion....

Not disagreeing with you but powerful enough for what? We're not
winning anything this season so we just need to fulfil our
fixtures. May as well save the money.
