England name team to face Scotland

Breaking
Scotland v England (Sat, 16:40 GMT)
England have named an unchanged backline for the meeting with
Scotland, with Fraser Dingwall and Tommy Freeman in midfield and
Tom Roebuck and Henry Arundell on the wing.
Maro Itoje comes back into the second row, Luke Cowan-Dickie
starts at hooker and Fin Smith replaces Marcus Smith among the
replacements.
England team to face Scotland: Steward; Roebuck, Freeman,
Dingwall, Arundell; Ford, Mitchell; Genge, Cowan-Dickie, Heyes,
Chessum, Itoje, Pepper, Underhill, Earl.
Replacements: George, Rodd, Davison, Coles, Pollock, Curry,
Spencer, F Smith
Fin Smith has replaced Marcus, I find that very hard to
understand. Hope Marcus has had it explained what he did wrong,
not coming on the pitch at all on Saturday!

Did Stewart actually catch any high balls at all last Saturday?
It seemed to me that he pretty much knocked the ball on every
time.

Must have had too many Guinesses at the game!! I cannot see what
Fin Smith brings that Marcus doesnt. He has been playing well at
Full back for England, such a strange call.

My post earlier was implying that I would drop Stewart and put
M. Smith at f/b and put F. Smith on the bench.

He caught a couple.
Weird to have Fin on the bench when he only covers one position
and Ford is never getting subbed. Better off having Furbank who
covers 15 and can manage 10 in a pinch. With Arundell and
Freeman in the backline, covering 15 isn't quite so important
though, and it seems Borthwick really does believe a forward can
play 12 for most of the match if needed...

Furbank is out with a head knock / concussion (he can't seem to
get any luck), totally agree with Never Sleep, Fin can play 12
as well, but not better than Marcus can cover 10 and 15 as
exhibited in the NZ game last autumn
