Harlequins State of Play at 7pm Wednesday 11th March

Harlequins have emailed out details of this years state of play.
I cannot attend but will watch online with the popcorn and beer
ready seeing how many hits the management take from the
supporters before hitting the deck and getting tapped out.
Unless of course the supporters are understanding and back off a
bit, which normally happens to be fair.

Will probably watch online if I remember it and not fussed about
the questions as they are stage managed and some of the people
that ask them just want their own private chat. However I will
be looking to see something that suggests change is coming as,
looking back at last year, it was a farce when talk became
action.

From the last one it was pretty tame in terms of real scrutiny
so I wouldn't expect anything less. They won't pick questions
which undermine them in any way considering they are still in a
job and expected to be trusted oversee the next coaching
changes. It would be refreshing if LD essentially said they've
not had a joined up approach with a serious plan, have winged it
with head coach selection over the last 6-7 years, recruitment
has been more miss than hit etc but at best it will be a
"mistakes have been made" gloss over.
I'd simply want to know if LD thinks Quins fans get good value
for supporting the club

The only time I can remember one of these in any way being
"real" was when Mark Evans and that bloke in the audience
started arguing after he kept shouting out. Mark Evans
challenged him to come up to the front and discuss his issues
and instead the bloke walked out.

Thought the David Ellis one with the guy from Rugby paper was
decent, actually took a lot from the audience

I seem to remember that they had free beer last year.
Planning to go this year on the off chance that there is free
beer this year too.
