England had 3 wingers today. They all scored. Not sure who you’d
       drop for Luigi

There would be a lot of wingers ahead him for England, good
though he is. I would have quite liked to have kept him at
       Quins, though.

It's a moot point. We don't know how he would have developed.
And he may well have scored 5 or 6 against Wales!
I personally think England missed a trick by not capping him. I
can't remember who was being picked ahead of him. Were they a
better option at the time, or were they another undroppable?

He was in line for a call up and got injured. After the injury
he had his problems at Quins that led to his departure. England
did not miss out and have no shortage of absolute quality
       wingers either

When left, the rumour was that we did not offer him a contract.

I can't believe that! Bloody silly if true, if it was a value
argument then maybe as we have plenty of good wingers, but he
was at best a fringe international at the time and I can't
       believe he'd be that expensive.

It was a falling out with the club IIRC, the rumours were he
came back from injury with an attitude problem and had issues in
training (and, on the pitch, in not bothering to defend)
Massive pinch of salt and all that, but...
