Didn't he agree to take a large reduction in the salary that he
should have been paid?

That was my recollection too; IIRC he was basically just paid
expenses to cover his cost of living while trying (in the end
unsuccessfully) to rehab.

The club announcement says it was one year:
"Turner, 33, will move to the North East this summer following
the conclusion of his one-year deal at The Stoop."

He's still played 8 senior matches for us (same as Tyrone and
just bit less than Northmore) but we barely used him in those
anyway, which is the weird thing
