Arguably the most pointless signing of all time. Arrived as an
international, played a few minutes off the bench, got injured
and immediately announced he was leaving. Top notch all around.

He was a bit of a punt, in his 30’s playing in Japan, and has
been injured a lot of his time with us, when he did come on
looked very average, was it him or the team, who knows, so I
agree let him move on.

That was a great signing, and all the bad publicity around the
allegations of racism, for a player who never played a single
game.

I think we had him fit for that season it might have had an
influence on relegation...but as an out and out waste nothing
will beat him! We at least managed to get a few games out of say
Abott/Ollie Smith who each were big signings at the time

Not that much of a punt really - started 10 internationals in
23/24, and then was in Japan for a single season and still
played 3 internationals.
It is weird that he's only started one match for us, though. 7
senior matches on the bench and rarely getting even half an hour
each time.

Pretty sure he was a Wilson signing who knew him from Scotland.
I reckon he would have been pretty bemused to then find Wilson
gone and having limited game time. Can’t blame him for not
pulling up trees but probably best all round that he moves on.
We all know he will consistently score against us for Newcastle
now.

Was the one year deal public? Panic Jibs replacement it seems
and, as it turns out, poor business by us.
Been a great stepping stone for him though.

raise quality of top end players
