Anyone any thoughts on what Quins might do with their
'windfall'? Clear existing debt? Investment in the new stadium?

Sounds like ring-fencing by the back door.
If the agreement is only with the existing 13 stakeholders where
does that leave room for any other ambitious championship club
to join?

The 13 own shares in PRL.
There is a mechanism for the promoted club to buy shares over
time, but it is one of the inequities as they are not
automatically transferred, so the promted club gets less moeny
tha every other club in the league and the relegated club has a
budget several times that of the Championship clubs.

It's a one-off payment. So won't make a difference - other than
the teams now all need to start to work out where and how to
make up what will be diminishing TV revenue year after year.

I thought the point was that CVC will increase
TV/Sponsorship/Advertising revenues by such an amount that we
wont miss the 35%? Surely CVC would not be throwing £200M down
the tubes?

CVC will increase TV and marketing revenue massively - but they
will take all the cash. That's the deal.
