Saracens Shake-Up: McCall Steps Down, Venter Returns as Director
of Rugby
After guiding Saracens to six Premiership titles and three
Champions Cups, including a rebuild from relegation in 2022,
McCall will move to a technical advisor role and join the board
at season's end. Brendan Venter, the former Springbok who helped
launch the club's golden era alongside McCall, returns full-time
as Director of Rugby from the 2026/27 campaign. Both men
expressed pride in the club's achievements and commitment to its
future, with young academy talents like Noah Caluori set to
drive the next phase amid a current sixth-place standing.

Interesting news. I rate McCall as the best in the Prem, along
with Rob Baxter.

I rate him as a bloke that did very well when they cheated and
just after but appears to be struggling a bit now his squad is
more comparable with everyone else’s.

I still find it annoying that Dean Richards got a three season
ban for one stupid match choice , but McCall never had anything
done for years of cheating.
