Not quite a fair comparison then; as a non-member of either the
top price at Quins is £56 more than at Pirates, or nearly three
times the price. But I'd agree that more people would pay the
price at Quins, basically because they do.

A quick google suggests that the cost of living in London is
somewhere around 150-210% of the cost of living in Cornwall. The
remaining gap is a premium for the quality of the competition
(not sure when the Pirates last played a European home knockout
game) and scarcity value (Mennaye Field capacity is 2,200
seated, 4,000 overall with typical attendance of 15-1600; Quins
sell out 90% of their home games at 14,800 capacity).
It’s not a like for like comparison, but taking into account the
differences Quins’ pricing doesn’t seem to be massively out of
line. (And - bracing for the response from some sections of this
board - it serves to emphasise that Quins women’s games are very
good value)

Poorfor some good points
However Loyalty is a brand and satisfaction is a survey
As some once said STH pay come what may, and going by recent
results you can see why some would be frustrated at having a
fairly high ticket price, even when we have the biggest income
in the prem and do get far less for our money than we used to

Timing is just no good for me. I too am questioning the value of
the two tickets I pay for the amount of games for 1. But also
the sporadic nature of the fixtures. Sure neither factor is the
clubs doing but still a consideration for me.

Value for money is very much a subjective concept. Some people
seem to think paying £700 for a steak is value. Others baulk at
paying £2.50 for a cup of tea. A wise person once said to me
that something is only worth what someone will pay for it.
Ultimately it's the market that determines the price, and as
long as the STs keep selling out and there's a waiting list,
overall it would be deemed that the value is good. Then of
course, there's the value that the holder gets for their
purchase. If a person buys an ST and goes to every match, they
may get top value but still feel it's expensive. Another ST may
only go to half the games and still feel it's good value.
Comparing Stoop prices to others doesn't make much difference.
Someone may pay less for a Sale ST, but they'll be mingling with
flat caps and whippets, eating stale pies, and grumbling about
Southerners (stereotype added for Yareet [emoji3] ); an ST
holder at Sarries (choose either on of them) would be standing
in a soulless ground, watching a soulless team, among about 150
people. At Quins you get great facilities, great atmosphere, and
(optimistically) great players producing great rugby. Obviously
the last component there isn't guaranteed!
My personal disappointment is in the quality and pricing of
merchandise. In the past I've spent my hard-earned cash on a
plethora of items in the shop and online. Nowadays I'd have to
spend a lot of money on just a few items - so I choose not to.
Prices keep rising, so I assume sales are strong enough to
warrant supply.
Lastly, prices will go up, but will almost never go down. They
will need to plateau at some point, but I don't see it happening
soon.

Prices went down when we were relegated.
I have just renewed my SCCC ST for all the white ball cricket
next season and its £250 for the whole shebang. Much better
catering and Hospitality options too.

That's pretty good. Presumably you get the red ball free with
that?
