I hadn't realised Minty coaches the USA as forwards and defence
coach.
--- Quote ---
> “I want to coach at the highest level I can – for my country
or in the Premiership – and I’m not embarrassed to say that,”
Easter says. “I’ve never minded the pressure being on, to be
honest. I don’t mind the buck stopping with me, because you know
you are doing it your way. The important thing is that it is
collaborative. My ambitions are big, but the opportunity has got
to be right.”
>
> Harlequins, enduring a difficult patch, have not been in
touch. Easter would “certainly welcome a conversation” and
admits that he “thought they’d kick on when they last won the
Prem” in 2021. “It hasn’t happened that way,” Easter shrugs. “I
have my own views and if they want to have a chat, I’m sure they
have my number. Hopefully the door is open because I want to see
them achieve their potential and there is a lot going for that
club.”
--- End Quote ---
I'm not saying we should take Easter because he's an ex player.
But I don't know what we're looking for. I hope the club do.
If he's a good fit and ticks the boxes, let's look at him.
If one of the boxes is "used to coach the All Blacks", then
let's not.
But regardless, he's building a good CV there!

He votes Conservative or Reform which rules him out of the job
apparently.

I thought it was because he liked a post on X somewhere, that
was from a "wrong" person.

Beat Spain 42-12
Lost to Romania 22-20
Lost to Scotland 42-7
Beat Canada 28-15
Lost to Japan 41-24
Lost to Fiji 22-3
Lost to Samoa 18-13
Beat Portugal 21-17
Beat Tonga 36-17
Beat Spain 26-23
Beat Belgium 26-17
Lost to Spain 31-20
Lost to England 40-5
Lost to Canada 34-20
Lost to Japan 47-21
Beat Samoa 29-13
Lost to Scotland 85-0

Currently ranked 16th in the world, behind Spain, Uruguay,
Georgia, and Japan, and just ahead of Chile.
I'd say the Chinnor role is likely a lot more impactful on his
future career prospects.
