Does anyone know the permutations for next week and our likely
opponents for the last 16? Or is it too early to tell?

Round of 16
2.6 The four highest-ranked clubs in each pool will qualify for
the Round of 16. All clubs will thereafter be ranked in
descending order based firstly on their ranking in their pool
and subsequently on the number of match points they have
accumulated, to create an overall ranking from 1 to 16.
The pool winners will be ranked 1 to 4, the second-placed clubs
will be ranked 5 to 8, the third-placed clubs will be ranked 9
to 12, and the fourth-placed clubs will be ranked 13 to 16. The
Round of 16 will thereafter be played over one match as follows:
R16 1: Number 1-ranked club v Number 16-ranked club
R16 2: Number 2-ranked club v Number 15-ranked club
R16 3: Number 3-ranked club v Number 14-ranked club
R16 4: Number 4-ranked club v Number 13-ranked club
R16 5: Number 5-ranked club v Number 12-ranked club
R16 6: Number 6-ranked club v Number 11-ranked club
R16 7: Number 7-ranked club v Number 10-ranked club
R16 8: Number 8-ranked club v Number 9-ranked club
NB The clubs ranked numbers 1 to 8 will have home advantage in
the Round of 16.
Sooooo.....if we finished first in our pool, we get a home draw
against one of the teams finishing fourth. I'm not sure what
criteria are used to rank those finishing first mind
you....whether just points and GD in the group or something more
nebulous.
That would mean playing (currently) either Toulouse (gulp),
Munster or Pau (presuming you can't get drawn against someone
from your own group).

If we were to finish second in our group we then play a third
place finishing team which would be (currently) Saracens, Toulon
or Saints.
There are no easy games from this point forward frankly.
Having said that, Gloucester could still sneak into fourth spot
in their group and a home tie against them should be winnable.
Likewise against Castres who can also still qualify. Scarlets
can also unseat Pau and that's probably the easiest match on
paper but needs lots of results to go our way.

You could get drawn against a team from your group last year -
Bordeaux played Ulster, both from Pool 1.

I don't think winning our group is very likely as Leinster are
playing Bayonne.

If the groups ended now the match-ups would be:
Bordeaux v Pau
Glasgow v La Rochelle
Leinster v Munster
Bath v Toulouse
Bristol v Stormers
Quins v Toulon
Sale v Saracens
Edinburgh v Saints
Looking at the matches left a close loss with 4 tries against La
Rochelle would be enough for second as long as stormers don't
get a bonus point win against Tigers

It would certainly help with the club’s revenue position…

Unlikely though.
How I think the groups will end (top 4 only)
1. Glasgow, Toulouse, Saracens, Sale
2. Bath, Toulon, Munster, Edinburgh
3. Leinster, Stormers, Quins, La Rochelle
4. Bordeaux, Saints, Bristol, Pau
and the r16 match-ups to be:
Bordeaux v Pau
Glasgow v Edinburgh
Leinster v La Rochelle
Bath v Sale
Saints v Bristol
Toulon v Quins
Stormers v Saracens
Toulouse v Munster
