about the defence in particular, I'd not be keen to take those
Super Rugby stats at face value - the Tahs squad was a lot worse
than the opposition because (as that article said) they chose to
spend vastly less money than the rest in order to stay a viable
concern. They already had a much weakened squad in 2020 and cut
it even more for 2021. So it meant they took a kicking every
week but they survived as a club. Franchise. Whatever. Then they
were able to regroup and in the next two seasons were the 2nd
best Aussie side behind the Brumbies. Nothing spectacular but
there's some nuance there I think.

performing outfits" isn't really true. They went from
"under-strength side losing a lot" to "side absolutely gutted on
purpose getting drubbed by everyone" to "just about top half of
super rugby" in his first 3 seasons and the 4th was the same as
the 3rd. Which is most definitely some kind of turnaround.

Even if you accept that, what has he ever achieved as a coach,
and in particular at Quins, and the same excuses are being used,
he talks about learning from failure, he has failed to learn.
Sorry needs to go, before he does any more damage, and his
blaming the players and not accepting any accountability is not
       particularly attractive.

Yep fair enough, just pointing out that the Super Rugby tale
doesn't tell the whole story at all and can easily be used as
evidence that he's capable of turning things around. I certainly
don't see any evidence he's particularly good as a defence
       coach, for example.

He was replaced by Dan Coleman as head coach at the Waratahs,
and went back to being defence coach, Coleman was replaced as
Head Coach by Dan McKellar, who was famously sacked by the
Tigers after a year in charge.
The Waratahs seem to be about as good as us at selecting
coaches, worrying that we employed anybody from there.

I'm sure that's a coincidence and nothing to do with you
       personally 😉😁
