I’d only have him till the end of the season apparently we’re in
the recruiting process already so in a football term he’d be
caretaker head coach.
Whatever is being coached at SSP isn’t making us any better so
far we’ve shipped 120 points in 3 games! But let’s keep going
with hey?

Do we really want to replace coaches every couple of months?
Desperately spinning for the next guy who also won't be given
the time or resources to fix things?
Next season is the time, with proper recruitment and a preseason
for the new coach.

100% with you
We need a proper coach. Not a failure from elsewhere: it’s so
obvious i do not understand what the management are thinking

Not sure anyone disagrees that that's what we need. But fire him
now, and who do we get? Which great coach is just sitting there
with nothing else to do with their time mid-season?
Gilmore needs to see this out while we recruit a serious coach
for next season.

No we need to rip off the plaster, the recruitment process is
already underway and if we act now it gets any of the current
coaches names out of the running.
We have nothing to lose by publicly saying it’s not good enough!

It feels like the CEO asked who wants the job out of all the
coaches when Wilson jumped ship.
Evans clearly didnt want it.
Flannery was the biggest loss.....

AI’s view: 10 reasons to sack and 10 to keep.
We’re not seeing progress
Week after week it feels like we’re standing still while other
teams move forward.
The squad is better than the results
As fans, we look at the talent we have and can’t understand why
it isn’t translating into wins.
No clear identity anymore
Harlequins used to stand for exciting, fearless rugby — now it’s
hard to say what we actually are.
Game management keeps costing us
Too many matches slip away late, and it feels like the decisions
from the touchline aren’t helping.
Big games, same story
When it really matters, we don’t seem prepared enough to beat
the top sides.
Players look low on confidence
That usually reflects what’s going on behind the scenes, and
fans notice it.
The defence hasn’t improved
We keep conceding the same types of tries, which is incredibly
frustrating to watch.
Substitutions and tactics are confusing
From the stands (or the sofa), some calls just don’t make sense
and often backfire.
The excitement is fading
Fans pay, travel, and invest emotionally — and right now it
doesn’t feel rewarding.
It feels like the cycle has run its course
Not out of hate or disrespect, but because sometimes a club just
needs a fresh start.
Here are 10 reasons from a loyal fan’s perspective for keeping
Jason Gilmore, even when results aren’t perfect:
Stability matters
Constantly changing coaches rarely fixes long-term problems — it
often just resets them.
He’s still building something
Not every project clicks instantly, and some of the best teams
took time before it paid off.
The players haven’t turned on him
You can see effort and commitment on the pitch, which suggests
the squad still believes.
Injuries and availability haven’t helped
We haven’t always been able to field our strongest side, and
that matters more than fans admit.
There are signs of progress
Even in losses, there are phases of play where the system
clearly works.
Sacking the coach is the easy option
It looks decisive, but it doesn’t address deeper issues in
recruitment, depth, or leadership.
He understands the club culture
Harlequins aren’t just any team — continuity and identity count
for something here.
Young players are getting chances
Developing talent is vital for the club’s future, and that’s a
positive legacy.
We’ve seen flashes of the old Quins
When it clicks, the rugby is exciting — that suggests the
ceiling is still high.
Fans should back the team, not panic
Success feels better when it’s earned through patience, not
knee-jerk reactions.

What about the 10 to keep or does that fit your narrative?

Stop asking AI! All it can do is recycle an average of online
opinions.
