Most religions don’t really stand up to scrutiny in my opinion ,
but having spent my working life as a Royal marine officer and
in the Met, most religions are fine until they are distorted,
and that can happen to all religions.
The former Yugoslavia had two different Christian groups who
committed atrocities on Muslims, Northern Ireland have two
Christian groups, and Iraq was two different sects, with
assorted other groups.
You can find problems in any religion, but I respect people’s
right to believe as long as it does not impact on others rights
to believe in something different or not believe at all, or
cause harm.

Yep. You even have violent, militant Buddhists in some parts of
the world.

To be clear, I wasn't suggesting that his viewpoint matched any
of those at all. I don't know if it does or not. I was
suggesting, though, that there are viewpoints that aren't
reasonable and rational and others that we can strongly disagree
with while accepting they are reasonable to hold. If he holds
the former, that would be a problem for the club. If the latter,
then not.

The issue then becomes what may be reasonable/rational, and who
gets to decide.
As for "bedwetters", I'm referring to the type of people who
daub red paint over Barclays Bank, or protest outside a business
because the CEO has an opinion they don't like. The type of
people who pressurised companies not to advertise on GB News,
before it had even gone to air.

I think you massively over estimate my desire to engage with you
on essentially any topic, especially when a) I have no idea how
many Muslims or which sects actually believe in these things
versus pay lip service to it, b) widespread mainstream religious
beliefs are a conversation in their own right and as an atheist
I don't feel the need to 'defend' any of this, and most
importantly c) I am painfully familiar with your schtick and
would rather pull my own fingernails out than fool myself into
thinking there's a good faith discussion to be had here

There is plenty of them on here and all over social media.
And some genuine ones because they have bladder problems and
cannot hold on to it for 40 or 80 minites.
You know the ones are are in and out of their seats like yoyo.

Are we calling people with opposing views bedwetters then?
Doesn’t seem very tolerant to me.

That's the CEO again, I guess, because if the coach's views are
likely to impact sponsorship or stop a proportion of the fanbase
from attending, that's a business decision. Quins markets itself
as an open, diverse, LGBTQ-friendly club. You get a coach who
publicly opposes that and the CEO has to decide if that's
damaging to the club.

No. There are bedwetters whose views I may agree with. It's how
they allow those views to attempt to influence others. For
example, the approach of "I don't like that person's views, so
he shouldn't be out DOR or head coach". Another example is the
type of person who describes others as a "Nazi" or a "Fascist",
because they have a different view of, say, illegal immigrants.

That you fail to spot the irony in your comment is quite
something but a happy New Year nevertheless..

Again, the key thing here is *what* the view is. If the view is
that gunboats should sink them in the channel, then I'm okay
with calling people who say that fascists. If the view is that
they should be processed quickly, efficiently and fairly and
anyone who isn't a legal asylum seeker should be sent back,
that's pretty much mainstream thinking.
