Indeed. "Discussion" kind of goes out of the window when someone
is described as a "lunatic" for having the "wrong" views.

There's different viewpoints, and then there's straight-up
conspiracy theories and lies. I think anyone on the political
spectrum from, say, 80s Conservatives to 80s Labour counts as
reasonable different viewpoint. The National Front, the
Communist Party, and the people who think the government
controls us through microchips injected in vaccines are not.
They're extremists or lunatics. I haven't read Easter's tweets
(don't use Twitter), but the description sounds like he's
leaning that way in places.

There are many conspiracy theorists who have been proven to be
correct. Some of what you cite is not my thinking, but you also
don't know if it's his. Rather than describe him as a "lunatic",
it would be better to accept that he has a different viewpoint
on certain things.
As for whether that should prevent him for working in a given
role... well that depends on whether you're the type who thinks
the best person for the job should be in place, or whether
you're the type of bedwetter who campaigns to get someone fired
because their politics are different to yours, or thinks that
Nigel Farage shouldn't be allowed a bank account etc. (I'm sure
you're not that type, by the way).

Not really rugby related but it’s fascinating to see that some
here really think those on the far right are tolerant of a
variety of views. That sounds a bit like lunacy in itself.

I'm not sure who on here is supposed to be "far right". I'm
guessing not you.
It is hilarious how those on the "far left" see themselves as
tolerant though.

Proudly left of centre and don’t want anyone associated with the
club if they use social media to spread rubbish about
immigration. Not controversial but a fairly common view amongst
those who tend to keep fairly quiet about such things I imagine.
I don’t begrudge anyone having different views but the further
they go left or right, the more lunatic they are. Some of what
Easter seems to align with is lunacy.
