I think that this is incorrect for a very subtle reason.
I think that it should say 'between results and ticket sales '.
I think that if we play entertaining rugby, then casual fans
will still come to watch (regardless of whether we win or lose).
If we continue to perform badly and not entertain, then we may
struggle with ticket sakes.

I think Quins should get rid of Marcus Smith. Then maybe they
would realise that "hope Marcus does something" isn't a viable
game plan and actually come up with something that might work.
(I don't actually want this, but there doesn't seem to be any
other game plan right now.)

Franchising is more about having a stable enviroment and
encouraging investment, without the prospect of ruin that
relegation brings, that will then hopefullly increase income, it
also allows the league to increase to 12 or 14 clubs.
Would any of the champ clubs if promoted be able to invest the
require amount to compete and then survive being relegated.
As to the predicting the train crash that this season has
become, the predictions were made post Wilson leaving, which we
have no idea how much or how long the club knew about before he
left.
The dead wood players are down to Wilson and the coaches have
failed utterly in their present roles mostly this season, with
one or perhaps two exceptions.
In the end it is all fairly academic as the owners employ who
they want to, bit like Levy at spurs, fans wanted him gone soon
after he joined, took them 24 years to get their wish.

With no relegation you have the same effect as a franchise. As
Ted Lasso said when explaining a franchise system where half the
teams play meaningless games to half empty stadiums for most of
the season. Not good for ticket sales or motivation.
I know its a bit of a long shot but Ted is available soon
so could come in for next season after hes finished at AFC
Richmond. I think he would make an excellent DOR.

The owners daughter and her husband, now effectively run Spurs,
he was supposedly removed to achieve greater sporting success.
So a lot of fans wanted him gone, but was only gone when the
owners wanted it.
