This season is gone, it was gone before it started with Wilson
leaving when he did, and nothing will save it now.
Hopefully (and it is the hope that kills you) we will have
sorted out a proper head coach and have a plan for who we
recruit and who we let go next season, and we have some sort of
direction and identity.
Off the pitch we are doing pretty well, yes we are losing money
but so is everyone else, and sacking the CEO is probably not a
good idea.
We just need to get the on field performance to match and that
requires a decent coach and releasing some of the players who
are not really contributing much.
The Women still have a shot this year a with some on the injured
players coming back, we have a chance if we can just get some
more consistency.
The travails of supporting Quins have always been thus.

Its not just one game though is it - our general lack of
leadership and direction is the biggest issue - on and off the
field - something has to change and I'm sure it will .......

Is anyone saying he should be sacked? Taking blame is not the
same thing as losing your job. But right now, everyone,
including the coaches, is putting all the blame on the players,
and there is plenty of blame to go around, from poor choice of
coaches, a lack of a clear game plan, and lack of apparent
player performance and motivation. I would like to see the
bosses acknowledge their mistakes as well as celebrating the
success and good decisions in the women's game.
Also, we haven't just lost one game.

We of course can moan and suggest this solution and that
solution, but the only people that can make changes are the
owners, it would be interesting to know how they feel about the
recent performances and where they want the club to be result
wise.
Their plans may be a bit more long term, than our aspirations.

What we need is a coach with a three year plan.
But seriously, I think that this year is an aberration, and we
do seem to have a plan.

Dalrymple appears to be an excellent CEO of a sports team (as he
was at Wolves by most accounts) - the facilities and atmosphere
at the Stoop are v impressive, as are the things for kids,
entertainment, Big Games etc. and way better than they were when
I started going 15 years ago.
As an aside - I think those who say “oh the social media is good
so that’s ok” in a sarcastic way in 2025 are showing a certain
lack of knowledge (and it’s not age based, I’m 55).
I think we’re past pretending online presence and social media
are new or not a massive part of corp comms, marketing,
advertising and - crucially - sales.
Go talk to a retail business (especially cosmetics this year)
about the impact of TikTok shop and where they see it going in
the next 5 years.
Anyway…moving on from that…
We needed a modern commercial CEO and we have one - but I agree
that there has to be a tipping point where he or she has to step
in when the sporting side isn’t being run properly and therefore
devalues the product they are trying to sell.
Everything points to serious structural issues in the team and
coaching that needs sorting out.
DC made an interesting comment post
match about it looking like a load of individuals and it’s v
hard to argue.
We’ve looked totally disjointed for two years now barring 3 or 4
performances across those seasons - mostly against Sarries.
No shape in attack, total absence of leadership anywhere on the
field - even when all the “leaders” are there. Marcus seems to
offer little in the way of command on the field at all when our
backs are against the wall (eg that whole match).
Rather than slow things down, hit tackles hard and reset - we
get individual players trying to throw ludicrous passes or
attempt cross field kicks when a few more phases might have been
helpful.
It sadly feels like we need a massive overhaul of the dressing
room - especially in terms of attitude. How many times this
season have the looked like they just don’t want to be there?
It’s really bad.
Maybe a strong DoR could knock it out of them but the Big Game
was almost more dispiriting than the abject JK era
We have a teamsheet groaning with internationals and top quality
Prem players and we can’t show up.
Have a feeling it’s only Quins who can make that line up perform
so badly - if they had a different club badge you just can’t see
anyone performing so badly.
Really really worrying. But so hard to see an answer that
doesn’t involve a restructure that could take 2 seasons min to
sort out.

There was a fair amount of criticism about him and a comment
saying that he is out of his depth.

When a company is not performing and results are far from
satisfactory it's the CEO that gets fired.
He is the man in charge at the end of the day.
As for making money a £3 million plus debt is not making money.
Maybe he went to the same school as Rachel from accounts (who
has no accounting qualifications) or the Abbot school of
management.
The man should go.
This is all falling about under his watch.

Not what this report says, and not up to the supporters since we
don't own the club, all we can do is not buy season tickets or
tickets, how many sports clubs outside the US make money.
