Much blame to go around. Let’s take a temperature take.

This season has been ugly.
Last season was ugly.
I believe we’re still cleansing from Danny Wilson but even
allowing for that, there’s not a lot of reasons for optimism
right now.
It’s hard to see where to begin with any fix to get us back on
track, outside of some obvious change at DOR, but candidates
aren’t exactly screaming from the rooftops.
I think this has to be the moment where management gets a
stronger hand on the tiller and tells us what we’re building
towards, because yesterday wasn’t a sellout, nor was the summer,
so clearly the casuals aren’t racing in anymore.
I think we do have the players, but that might be my wishful
thinking.

The vote control isn't working on mobile for me; it's a broken
drop-down instead of radio buttons.

All of the above to an extent, IMO.

First and foremost it's the players. These are professionals,
many of them are internationals.
You can kick out the coaches and the owners but none of that
will make any difference if the players perform like they did
yesterday.

The coaches are most immediately to blame, but the management
are the ones who repeatedly fail to appoint effective coaches. I
see no accountability from them, nor an urgent recognition that
things have to change.

Blame, has to lay at many feet
Accountability lies with those at the top

Jason Gilmore here blaming the players, but you'll all be
pleased to know that they had a good training week.

FAF and SiB spot on - the responsibility lies with the folk
running the club. They've certainly made enough decisions on
coaches in recent years to have had an impact on the management
and players. The issues we've had since 2022 (some existed
before the title) haven't been identified or fixed by the ones
in charge, particularly around culture and consistency, and
instead they've insisted the vibes were good largely because of
a couple of Champions Cup runs, spectacularly upended at the
Aviva last season.

We don't have the quality of players that we did a few seasons
ago. I don't see this changing any time soon. I don't think the
coaches are getting the most out of them either but it's the
overall quality of the squad that's the problem.

I think every team except Bath aren’t as strong as they were in
the Covid period.
For example
Bristol lost Piatau, Hughes etc.
Sarries lost a bunch (cheating finally got them obviously)
Exeter lost Simmonds brothers, Nowell, few others.
Saints have lost Lawes and Ludlum.
Leicester lost Montoya, Ford etc.
Think we’ve mentioned holding onto some mid-tier players for too
long, so that’s probably where the salary cap pressures have
come for us.
I agree with the point that blame could be evenly shared, but I
lean coaching staff, management, recruitment and then players in
that order.
