Team News: Six changes for Aviron Bayonnais

Guido Petti Pagadizábal in acton for Harlequins
Harlequins have made six changes to the starting XV as Aviron
Bayonnais travel to The Stoop in Round 2 of the Investec
Champions Cup on Sunday (14 December, KO 13:00).
Two of Quins' changes come in the front row as Fin Baxter
returns after a week of mandatory rest to start at loosehead and
Pedro Delgado makes his first competitive start for the Quarters
at tighthead. Jack Walker continues at hooker.
Guido Petti Pagadizábal returns to the engine room to partner
Stephan Lewies, while Jack Kenningham returns to the back row at
blindside flanker. Will Evans resumes duties on the openside and
Zach Carr shifts to number 8.
Will Porter starts at scrum-half once more, with the returning
Marcus Smith set to pull the strings from fly-half.
Luke Northmore and Oscar Beard continue their partnership in the
centres after scoring a try apiece in Dublin.
Cadan Murley skippers the side once more on the left wing,
Cassius Cleaves retains his spot on the right and Nick David is
named at full-back.
Jason Gilmore has opted for a five-three split with his options
off the bench as Sam Riley, Boris Wenger and Will Hobson are set
to be deployed at front row replacements.
Kieran Treadwell and Chandler Cunningham-South will provide
strength and power from the bench as the back-five options.
Lucas Friday and Jamie Benson retain their place in the matchday
squad, with Ben Waghorn set to make his first competitive outing
of the season on Sunday.

Pretty decent team, interesting to see how Luke goes at 12, as
prior to last week it hasn't worked out.
Isgro must be on the naughty step for his shambolic Gloucester
contribution.
Carr seems to continue to be held in high regard, now starting
at 8 over CCS so is being courted for the Chisholm successor
role nicely

Strong looking team. Sad to see Chris still not fit after
looking good in the friendly.
Hard to believe Marcus is approaching 200 games for Quins!

A strong team who *should* win. But I remember saying the same
thing before the Gloucester game, and look what happened there.
If I were one of those 6 players being brought in, I would be
very determined and quite nervous after their back-ups made a
good show of the Leinster game. Another poor showing, and should
some of the 'names' be worrying about their starting spots?

On the basis that ive barely heard of a single one of their
players we really should be winning this. I'm sure the players
are as fed up of losing as we are, so this would be a good time
to turn things around before putting on a show at big game.
Nice to see Waghorn back and for Cleaves get a few games.
Its a good thing that we have so many tightheads in the squad as
we seem to have spent the entire season with at least 4 on the
unavailable list. Other than that though we are pretty close to
full strength really so no excuses on that front.

Really? Is it his imperious form in the air or the rock solid
'you shall not pass' defence that makes you happier it's Nick
David??? Sorry, not having a pop but I always dread when Tyrone
isn't there.
I think it's a toss of a coin choice between Anderson and David.

I imagine it’s got more to do with giving him a rest week
following the AIs.

A strong team and importantly a decent bench.
Carr was excellent last week. Looking forward to seeing if he
can back it up.
