The whole pro v semi pro argument is not as simple as that, a
number of sides USA,Canada, Australia have chosen to fully fund
their sevens programs and then in the World Cup run up try to
include those players in the 15’s side.
The England team’s achievements in winning the 6N, RWC, and the
unbeaten run are extremely impressive and will probably never be
       matched.
If Nations decide to prioritise the chance of Olympic gold over
the RWC, and playing in a sevens series that nobody cares about
that much, that is their choice.
But the RWC has clearly shown that the future of women’s rugby
is the full game, if we want more people to play rugby then
women’s rugby is a vital part of that, and studies have shown
that women’s game has encouraged more young people of both
       genders to play.
No matter how much support you give people, they will still
achieve nothing unless they have the natural talent and work
       ethic to become good players.

In this butterfly mentality Soshall Meeja age, the most recent
       will likely be the winner.😒

Saying that the Red Roses shouldn’t win because they are so much
better than everyone else is a bit like saying Usain Bolt
shouldn’t win for the same reason. Or anyone else that is also
dominant. How much is spent shouldn’t come into it. If it did
then F1 and Premier League football teams wouldn’t be allowed to
       be entered.
What the Lionesses did was fantastic but in reality they
squeaked it. It was an unprecedented achievement in English
football to retain the Euro title and be in a World Cup final so
it’s a difficult call on who deserves it most. If it is a public
vote then football is always going to be more popular.

Golf with both main awards. Who’d have thought there were so
       many golfists out there.

I reckon they used their golf bats to intimidate other voters
       into voting for them
