Furbank's a cracking player who is a far better all-rounder than
Tyrone. Doesn't have quite the same attacking brilliance but is
still a high quality attacker, a ferocious tackler, and an
excellent distributor & kicker. He is a bit injury prone though.

Benson is very much the longer term option, but I suspect JEv is
actually fairly cheap for what he brings because of the collapse
of Welsh regional rugby.

I'd keep Chis. I know he's injury prone, but he's a big ball
carrier and we don't have loads of them in our ranks. He's also
Quins through and through.
I'm a big Lawday fan. He's a really consistent performer but I
can see him moving on to make space for Carr.
David blows hot and cot. He's a far better 15 then winger in my
opinion. The fact Anderson is being selected ahead of him is
surprising and potentially quite damning.
Don't disagree with the others.
What we don't know is the terms they may re-sign on. E.g. there
might be some logic in keeping Lewies if he proves his fitness
this season and renews on a lower salary, reflecting his no
longer first-choice.

I'd keep Chis as an emergency backup if the figures added up if
it came to it but its still a risk with his injury record.
David in my view now not good enough as wing or FB to really put
pressure on any of the others to take the shirt from them and
defensively is suspect. Whilst still a good squad player, part
of Quins' problem is keeping too many players who fit into that
category, but really always clearly not ever being good enough
to push for a regular start or do a job constiency, often at the
expense of maybe trying a younger academy prospect. (In this I
would include the likes of Anderson, Els, Kerrod, Musk, Hyde,
Bradley). Whilst I understand you need a wider squad, quite
often the gulf between them is more a hindrance when called
upon

Chis has played 40 matches since the start of the 2022 season
(so about 3 1/2 seasons). 21 starts. 1,781 minutes of rugby in
all that time, which is less than Will Evans gave us in the
2023/24 season alone. He's been excellent for us but it's surely
time to move on.

I rate David higher than some of you, I think, and I would keep
him. When everyone's fit and no one is off on international
duty, he's not in the 23, but he's definitely in the next line,
and we absolutely need it. You can't exactly keep international
quality players waiting in the background for those times. I
would keep one of Chisholm or Lawday at least, because we do
lack punch against more physical teams and they offer it.
Launchbury is clearly done. He was brilliant in his time, but
he's really not good enough for the premiership anymore, sadly.
Els should move down to the championship, I think, where he
would do a good job. Anderson I would have said the same for,
but he had a good game last week, so I'm willing to give him a
little more slack and see how he does for the rest of the
season.

Anderson was okay last week. He did the basics, nothing more. He
offers zero in attack and for that reason I'd much rather see
David given a run at full back..He has a higher ceiling than
Anderson in my view.

My issue with Anderson is that, if he was 22/23 I would have
some hope, but he is infact 26, and a year younger than Nick
David.
He may well be a late bloomer, but he doesn't appear to be at
the moment.
David at least has some spark, a decent amount of experience and
a decent bit of gas, wheras Anderson doesn't have any of that.

I think there’s plenty of room in the squad for Green and
Furbank, in fact would be delighted to have both and could see
Green starting on the wing at times.
In fact a back 3 covered predominantly by:
Green
Murley
Isgro
Furbank
Cleaves
Would be up there with one of the best in the prem.
